Mallard Resort is in the memory-making business. Often the story goes like this…the first year visitors come for a few days. The second year, they stay longer. Then they invite family and friends. A tradition begins that lasts for generations.
My Mom was a teenager when our family started coming here. Now she is 96. I would like to keep it as our little secret place, but guess that can't really happen. Every year we take a photo next to the big rock and are able to see how the children grow up and people change as does their hair and fashion! We love the cottages, the camping and the people here.

Nestled on the banks of the Chippewa River, Mallard Resort is a beautiful place. Reasonably priced, you can rent a camping space or a cabin. Pizza and beverages at the bar on site if you are tired of cooking and want to grab a quick bite to eat. Boat ramp, small sandy area by the water for children, lovely open area to relax and watch the river traffic. Everything is very clean. Chippewa Falls is a short drive from the resort to pick up what you forgot to pack. Perfect resort for a much-needed retreat.

“In July 2017 we were introduced to Mallard Resort and found it to be a charming bit of heaven on the Chippewa River. Loved staying at the "Hilton" at Mallard Resort. It offered a cozy, comfortable home away from home. Enjoyed the canopy of shade trees as we sat on the deck and savored the view of Mallard Resort.
We also spent a fun-filled afternoon swimming in the river while live music entertained those gathered along the riverfront. rode our bicycles on the transformed railroad ‘Old Abe State Trail. What a fabulous pathway to bike, no hills to speak of so that was especially nice. It was extra special to sit around the campfire and share stories. The people who spend time at Mallard are friendly and make you feel like ‘family.’ Everyone welcomed us with open arms.” Judy & Len R., Menominee, MI
